King & Country: Down in the Delta

Among our upcoming ‘Vietnam’ releases is this little 3-man set of Viet Cong figures together with a small ‘VC Sampan’… Beginning in the early 1960s the VC or ‘Charlie’, as some US troops called them, came to dominate large areas of the Mekong Delta. They used the myriad of waterways and canals to ferry men, munitions and supplies all over the area in order to attack the U.S. and ARVN troops stationed there. 

Soon the Allied forces would introduce their own ‘Brown Water Navy’ of all kinds of patrol craft to interdict this water-borne river traffic and make life much more difficult and dangerous for their Viet Cong enemies. In the meantime however the occasional Viet Cong Sampan continues to go about their work, always on the alert for any patrolling Americans! These two sets are scheduled for release this September.
