Annual Collectors Dinner 2026
This year Andy Neilson wasn't able to make the trip to Sydney, so we went with a different format and contact all manufacturers, offering them a chance to show what they have in the pipeline to be released between now and Christmas.
The attendees really enjoyed this new format, and we will probably continue using it in the future, hopefully with guest speakers.
So, what are the exciting new releases you can look forward to?
King & Country
- Firstly, a lot more of the new Samurai/Ashigaru warriors together with a beautiful Torii Gate as a superb display piece!
- For ‘Napoleonic’ enthusiasts there is also a brand-new ‘Duke of Wellington’ figure based on actor Hugh Fraser who played him in the Sharpe TV series, as well as other characters from Sharpe including ‘Sgt. Harper, Riflemen Harris and Hagman'
- In the Autumn and towards the end of the year KC are moving into the Eastern Front with a whole big bunch of figures and vehicles:
- Among them will be a new version of the Red Army Self propelled SU122
- Opposing it a multi barrelled Flak gun mounted on a German half track
- there will also be some new 'Winter Germans' fighting alongside
- Among them will be a new version of the Red Army Self propelled SU122
- Finally, a brand new 'Churchill ' based on the most famous photo taken by 'Karsh of Ottawa'.
Last Post Miniatures
- We will be going into a second batch of Vietnam facades:
- 2 sets of 2 buildings each, smaller than the previous ones, but perfect for small shops in towns or in the outer suburbs of larger cities.
- These will be made in a mix of mdf for the façade, and resin add-ons and interior decorations.
- At this stage we have plans for a Bar, a Grocer, a Butcher and a Fishmonger.
- If these prove to be popular, we may consider doing another one or two sets.
- 2 sets of 2 buildings each, smaller than the previous ones, but perfect for small shops in towns or in the outer suburbs of larger cities.
- We are also about to release the Mogadishu billboard (shown below with K&C Black Hawk Down figures).
Team Miniatures
They are heavily investing in 3D design software and are fully transitioning to it.
According to them:
- Precision & Detail: 3D modeling allows us to achieve a level of anatomical accuracy, historical authenticity, and fine detail that was difficult to replicate with traditional hand-sculpting.
- Future Releases: While this is our first attempt with 3D design, we are confident it will set a new standard for our product line. We are already planning several more historical series using this method, and we will continue to invest in training and technology to improve the quality with each release.
- Their next major release is a new series of WWII German cavalry figures. These are still early-stage computer renders, but they believe they capture the scale and detail we aim to achieve.
Thomas Gunn
A lot of news from Thomas Gunn. Some of this was shared in previous emails and posts, so we will focus on the items that haven't been discussed and shared yet.
- Blake Reade, owner of Thomas Gunn, will be visiting the store in November, to discuss anything toy soldier related with our customers. We will be organizing an in-store event and will share further details as soon as we know more
- He also sent us some samples of sets that are in the pipeline

- 3 German artillery pieces (1 w/ crew, other 2 without but there will be generic crew for them)
- Eagle has Landed – Michael Caine and his Fallschirmjagers facing off SS (9 figure set)
- 2 new vehicles:
- And another big one for us:
- Kokoda: 39th Battalion militia, rather than regular troops. We discussed about a dozen different poses. The first batch will probable be taking a defensive position behind some fallen trees trunks etc, so it will create a little vignette by itself.
- There is a possibility of also other Infantry sets for later action in the New Guinea Campaign, for example a few Australian troops with a captured Japanese gun etc, as well as new Japanese infantry sets.

Peter Nathan Toy Soldiers : Tanks
- A lot of our customers collect tanks, and the price of vehicles by all manufacturers has risen a lot over the years. Due to high demand and low supply of vehicles and tanks, I have decided to look into a solution myself and decided to try and have some made for the store:
- 3D Resin prints, with added weight, so the vehicles have a similar heft as a JJD, Warpark or K&C.
- No added command figures etc, so vehicles fit with whatever miniatures you have in your collection
- The vehicles are produced in the UK and painted by me, I've been doing this since I was 15, so have a few years of experience.
- Prices will be between $425 and $475 for medium vehicles (Cromwell, Sherman, Pz IV) depending on paint scheme, and $475-$550 for larger vehicles (Churchill, Panther, Tiger etc), again, depending on paint scheme.
- How long does it take?
- Once I receive the vehicle, it will take 3-6 weeks to get it finished.
- We will be slowly expanding the range, and try to have different vehicles in store, at low numbers.
- What are the advantages of us doing this in-store?
- Bespoke paintwork, decals etc.
- Possibility to do vehicles no manufacturer would consider doing, such as Australian WWII Sentinel tank
- At same time, if a manufacturer releases a tank we have on our list, we will stop producing it. It is not the intention to compete with others, only to supply what isn’t there.

- At the moment, we have on the production list: Australian Sentinel tanks as well as British, Australian and New Zealand Crusader tanks, Honey Stuarts, Vickers Mk VI and Bren Gun Carriers for the Western Desert.
