Last Post Miniatures: upcoming releases
African/Middle Eastern Buildings
Let's start with the main feature of this update. Last year, King & Country launched their Black Hawk Down series, which quickly became a fan favourite. When we saw Andy Neilson’s original diorama created to display the figures, we contacted him immediately to ask if he planned to release the buildings commercially. While he had no intention of doing so, he generously gave us permission to develop a series of facades inspired by his designs.

At last, we can share the first images of these sets, which will be released in March 2026. These are the largest facades we have produced to date, constructed in the same style as our Roman buildings. Each will retail for AU$295.

But there’s more! After showing early previews to a few collectors, several pointed out that these buildings would also suit WWII North African displays, or even Middle Eastern WWI settings. With that in mind, we decided to do something a little different. Instead of permanently attaching signage to the facades, we are leaving them blank and including a sheet of posters with every set. These will feature both 1990s Somali advertising and WWII-era propaganda, allowing you to personalise your buildings to suit your chosen era—just add scissors and a little PVA glue.

To ensure you receive your sets as soon as they are released, we highly recommend contacting us—or your preferred dealer—to place a pre-order.

Streets of Ancient Rome
Our Roman buildings continue to sell incredibly well, and due to popular demand we are adding three new facades to the range: two larger Roman houses and a spacer set with two lower wall sections to add visual variety. Here are a few images of the news sets we have in development. We hope to be able to share images of the painted prototypes in our next newsletter.

Vietnam War
First, a quick update on our Vietnam facades. The original molds have reached the end of their life, so we have officially retired the first series. However, this doesn’t mean the line is gone forever.
We are considering a second version of the original three releases—the Barber Shop, Pharmacy and Electronics Store—featuring alternate doors, windows, signage, and additional detail pieces. Expect more news on these in the new year.
We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2026!
All figures used in these images are King & Country releases, used by kind permission.
